May 1 Labor Day

Why May 1 celebrated? - Month of  May , which usually occurs on May 1 in many countries, stems from ancient customs associated with the celebration of spring. It is also a national holiday for workers in many countries around the world.

May  also known as Labor Day or International Workers' Day celebrated every year on 1st May. This day is a national holiday in more than 80 countries and also celebrated unofficially in many other countries.
May 1 is celebrated to pay tribute to the contributions, workers have made to make the world strong and prosper. This day is dedicated to the workers for their economic and social achievements.

The Labor Day is also known as May Day and International Worker’s Day and is celebrated in most of the countries on 1st May while in some countries on the first Sunday of September. It celebrates the social and economic achievements of the workers. Processions are carried out and various competitions are organized for the children associated with labor class by the labor organizations on this day. Some workers protests and rally on this day for their demands.
